This year shows an anomalous sea ice concentration in the northern Weddell Sea. Thus, the PRO-OASIS grid was designed (and dislocated) to follow the sea ice edge north of the Powell Basin, which presented sea ice concentration higher than 40% (see the sea ice concentration images at http://www.iup.uni-bremen.de:8084/amsr2/WeddellSea_AMSR2_visual.png). Below, the PRO-OASIS grid map executed this year.
